How does a quarter auction work?
A Quarter Auction is a mix between bingo and a live auction. You do not have to know how to participate in this fun auction to enjoy the evening, but below is more information on how the auction will run.
Each ticket holder gets a numbered cup as they arrive. Guests have the option of buying a maximum of 4 additional cups for $10 each. Like bingo, more cups equal more chances to win.
Guests BUY quarters from our “bank”. Quarters will be used like chips to “bid” on items. Each item auctioned will have a pre-set bid amount (in quarters increments from $.25-$1.00). When an item comes up for auction, for the chance to win that item you must put the pre-set number of quarters in your cup.
We will then pull a number from the hopper and if the number chosen is the number on your cup AND you have quarters in your cup, you WIN that item.
After each auction item, ALL cups containing quarters are dumped in the bucket in the middle of the table.
The same process will be repeated for each auction item.
All proceeds, regardless of attending the auction, go towards supporting the MSU Texas Women's Soccer Team.
